Paul Condon - ICC Anti-Corruption Chief re 'grooming of players'
I think his interview showed on Sky is a very important piece of evidence.
It is easy to jump to conclusions and blame ANYONE who had contact with sleazy agents. BUT what Condon says is these worms worm their way into peoples confidence by first posing as fans, then helping arrange sponsorship and then starting to ask simply about team line-ups. I think Pakpassion and Aamer are innocent parties in this who have been GROOMED by devious sleazy people. Let us not hold a kangaroo court and find Aamer or Pakpassion guilty. They were just unwitting victims of this as all of us have been. Seniors and Management have real responsibility here. |

Agnew said the same thing..he said some of these young players get sucked in without realising and before they know it they are being threatened etc..I think the way mazhar talked to aamir in the NOTW article almost shows that...we should also look at the root cause..betting syndicates themselves and their hq mumbai!!

I know PPers love Amir, maybe because he is the only decent player involved apart from Asif? While many ppers will be more then happy to see rest of accused banned for life.

Your logic is flawed
That way no man ever can be faulted for his actions because he was once groomed the wrong way either by his (i) parents (ii) friends (iii) in this case the agent etc etc |

Mazhar and Azhar Majeed 'used' Pakpassion to further the interests of thier clients. Do you think sleazy agents were doing this out of the goodness of their heart ? No unfortunately PP were used as unwilling pawns.

Utter BS. HE made a conscious decision to cheat and must face the consequences.

Well according to Majeed he has known the side for years and the approach was made by the players who sought out opportunities to spot fix matches...
The guy has been candid generally and it didnt seem a misplaced comment...hes a disgrace for brokering such agreements for the players but I get the impression many blame him for corrupting the players...corrupt players utilised a corrupt guy for their own greed...they are as bad as each other... And whilst someone who seeks out an opportunity is a disgrace so is the opportunist...he has the option to say no...some of you talk about aamer like hes pre pubescant... |

I think you can disregard the views of a simpleton who seems to be confused between PP (Pakpassion) and PPP (Pakistan Peoples Party)
