Ijaz Butt interview with the BBC

Just saw Butt tell a BBC reporter that Butt, Amir and Asif will play the T20 and ODI series. He says that that won't change until there is better evdience.

Which crowds cheers for their players after they drop a catch?

Match-fixers or not - everyone gets booed for dropping catches by their own fans.

Nothing unusual in that.

If you as a father knew your son was guilty for murder but the authorities couldn't prove it, would you still act as if nothing has happened?

Earlier I got the sense from other reports that the ECB was 'insisting' that these three do not play.

If ECB's stance was as reported, does this put PCB and ECB on a collision course?

Once again, an extremely weak logic been used.

Why oh Why will i assume that my son is guilty for murder if no authorities can prove it? Why will i go out of my way to accuse my son of something for which zero evidence exist.

Yes they have to agree

It's commonSense101 which most of PP fans either dont lack or are too dumb to see.

In any democracy, a man is innocent until proven guilty. If no evidence can be found against the accused, why on good earth do our moronic fans still want to see them banned? What decent logic exists for this

Well heres my take on this issue now. There could be only two possible scanarios how the PCB will act.

Scanerio 1: If the PCB gives harsh punishments like life BAN etc. then it will mean that PCB is clean and has done a fair job and that the players were guilty hence punished.

Scanerio 2: If the PCB is hell bent on saving these players, hiring lawyers to find loop holes in how to save these players, then i am afraid the people who believe PCB is also involved in match fixing would be damn right.

The only other possible scenario could be if Scotland Yard report and ICC clears the players if there ain't enough evidence which i highly doubt

If we leave the suspected fixing aside for one moment and suppose they do make the XI, will these players actually be in any fit state of mind to play the games? Most of their own fans have already labelled them guilty anyway.

Kamran dropped all those dollys. To me, that means he is incompetent. It is extremely offensive to accuse a player of match fixing simply because you feel emotional about these events. There has been zero evidence on Kamran. Scotland yard has declared him innocent. I don't understand why then you are hell bent on assasinating a man character? What if i accuse you of being a rapist simply because you sound so ridiculous from your posts?

The no balls happened but if that is the sole evidence then it is an extremely weak evidence in the higher courts. What if Mazhar actually called 50 deliveries that could potentially be no balls and he got two hits? That video for all i know could have been condensed edited version of the true events that happened. NO DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY WILL USE THAT AS A SOLE EVIDENCE TO CALL PLAYERS FOR MATCH FIXING.

Interesting.

Seems nothing substantial has come out of the reports by SY. Not enough to warrant a suspension at least. SY will take their time.

This would be the only reason for everyone agreeing to let them play.

Imagine if Butt plays and then either he gets run out or drops a sitter. It would be better off If these player did not play until the investigation is complete.
In any case mentally they would be shattered and probably will not be in any state of mind to give there best performance. Stupid decision to play them. U can imagine the crowds reaction If they do play

They probably discussed all the legal possibilities behind suspending the players.

All three might not even get selected into the Final XI. Asif won't for sure due to the other bowlers.

No one can replace Asif: Veena Malik
Pakistani actress Veena Malik has confessed that her heart still beats for fast bowler Muhammad Asif. She said that the house built for Asif is even vacant today.
According to a statement given to media, Venna said she prays for Asif’s success. However she admitted that she cannot stand any girl who takes her place in Asif's life. She informed that her engagement was decided by her parents and she has accepted the decision as her destiny, though no one can replace Asif from her heart.

Scotland Yard won't rush their investagations. Look at the Kaneria and Essex case - that's still going on after 4-5 months. So unless the ICC step in (which they probably won't), it's likely that Butt, Amir and Asif will play on sunday.

Match-fixers or not - everyone gets booed for dropping catches by their own fans.

Nothing unusual in that.
Booed is the wrong word, but the crowd Pakistani/English would definitely have doubts about that specific player
