How ironic - Y Khan v K akmal in odis

After moin khans loss of form and decline the question of who shud be pakistans ODI keeper was a huge problem.

Kamran Akmal was seen as the bunny batsmen who was the best gloveman.

Yk was the part time keeper who would add strength to the batting!

:oD :oD :oD - how comical was that theory!

Kamran Akmal has done pretty well in this VB series and has been made a scapegoat for pakistans failures at times with bat. Yk well the words minnow basher and consistant tried and tested odi failure come to mind. Akmal is only pakistan batsmen to score a ton for in Australia in this series and only player to score a ton for pakistan in Aus a very long time!

I hope team managment realize that kamran akmal is the man for the job and also realize that akmal wud be better down the order. if he is to open it shud only be on placid tracks!

Yk being a part team keeper is a negative move!

Amjid your thread was posted 11 months ago. No doubt about it in those 11 months Akmal has worked hard on his batting and keeping. At first he looked like a flat footed slogger, but he's worked on his strokeplay and has reaped the rewards.

YK was never going to be a long term keeping option and was only used as a stop gap !
