Zayed gave an example: In his book, Mr. Spencer brought a verse from the Quran, claiming that it proves that Islamic law mandates male witnesses of "sexual immortality" in order to support the male criminal! It appears that Mr. Spencer has intentionally omitted the first sentence of the verse that shows it is only related to recording debts!

Zayed, featured as a leading scholar in Britain's Ch. 4 documentary "Islam in America," adds about the 400 page book "The Lies about Muhammad," "I didn't just refute over 154 false claims with my own word against theirs, but with the most undisputed Islamic references, historical facts, common sense logic, testimonies from some of the world's greatest thinkers, and even evidence straight from the Torah and New Testament."

I hope its not overly apologist like most things that come out by scholars these days...refutations of what people say about Islam end up being attempts to water it down and make a version that the West likes...

I don't think he is apologising at all. This Imam has spent 2 years refuting the lies of Robert Spencer who is a cheif spreader of Islamaphobia in USA.
