I'd have a similar team to that one Shaykh, just replace Eto'o with Didier Drogba. Eto'o is a quality striker and I rate him but I think Drogba should be in before him. Drogba has been brilliant for the past few seasons, unstoppable at times.

I would agree that Drogba has to be there - quality at the moment

Though with the way Eto'o is playing right now maybe it should be Drogba and Eto'o up front

Think this discussion has been had on this board before. Eto'o's been more consistent than Drogba over the last 5 years even after taking into account last season when Mourinho was playing him as a defender.

Sorry. Never saved the Excel. Eto'o still comes out in front from memory.

Overall yes Eto'o had a better goals to game ratio BUT in the CL Drogba had a better goal to game ratio - though that will have changed with Eto'o scoring for fun at the moment

Anyhow the issue isnt about just goals - Drogba offers more to the team than just goals, all round game is top class

Like I said at the moment I would go with Drogba and Eto'o

I'd also add that Drogba has done it in a superior league...
What I would say though is Eto's overall game is underrated...he is a lot more than a poacher...his link up play is brilliant...

But agreed though about Drogba...he is the best all round striker around...havent seen a striker cross a ball as well as Drogba...your probably right that Drogba and Eto is a lot better than Eto and Villa...

On current form I agree with your team but would probably have Drogba over Eto'o. Eto'o is a great striker and its unfortunate we have to leave him out but Villa is in a league of his own and Drogba is scoring goals against everyone.

Come on, let's not open that can of worms.

Drogba is good. Better than Eto'o? Up for debate. Picking two out of Villa, Eto'o and Drogba isn't easy but I'd opt with your original choice.
