Why Isn't GEO Super Available in the UK?

Anyone know why GEO Super hasn't been made available for subscription in the UK?

Geo Super should be available all over the world.

But remember that Geo Super has rights to show alot of international cricket and they can show that only in Pakistan. Once the channel is available outside Pakistan the tv rights/competition will change as well and I don't think Geo Super are interested in that.

But Geo Super is available on Jaado box.

Sky Sports have TOTAL EXCLUSIVITY when it comes to broadcasting rights for virtually any cricket that is shown in the UK; Eurosport have EXCLUSIVITY on Champions League & ITV have EXCLUSIVITY on IPL - which means Geo Sports would have nothing to show in the UK.

They might be able to show domestic cricket -if they have the rights to show that.

This also applies to other sporting events / tournaments.

Unless they can operate on a similar basis to Sky Sports News - and have lots of sports news related programming, cant see it working

But Live coverage / highlights is not possible

But given the number of Pakistanis in the UK, I would have thought that a Pak based sports channel would still have enough viewers/subscribers to keep it going.

I think the reason is that the international cricket matches are shown in other channels in the UK.
And the other shows on Geo Super aren't much of interest to UK fans, I guess.
Domestic cricket of Pakistan isn't exactly followed by UK based Pakistanis and rest of all are analysis shows where Urdu is spoken..
Hence Geo Super wouldn't be very popular in the UK.

Well, its my assumption.

they could easily show the Pak domestic cricket, football, hockey stuff, and their chat programs.
