He was a good athlete and would have become a good player but again ... the MINDSET !! .... a classical example that reminds of that story where this guy butchers the chicken to get all the golden eggs at one time ...... "kachay chore" !!

Ashley Giles in Pakistan.

Corey Collymore....for some reason we made him look unplayable when we toured West Indies. They could probs slect him again and we would struggle.

Not to nitpick, but there shouldn't be an apostrophe in 'Lulloos.'

I'm no grammarian, but the worldwide Misplaced Apostrophe outbreak just bugs the hell out of me.

Ganguly in Toronto was made to look like Dennis Lillee. I remember I was a ball boy in Lahore when India later toured Pakistan and Ijaz Ahmed slaughtered the Indians with 130 something. Before the match began Ijaz had called Ganguly out and said 'Oh pai, eh Toronto nai, ithey tu gaind kerawey ga tey teri wah wah dhulai hui gi.' and Ganguly had replied saying 'Baatein mat chooda ker' We all know what Ijaz did to Ganguly that day..Aah those were the days!

Seriously, the list of Lullos that Pakistan made to look like World Class is so long that I can type for ages and still not be done.

Some epic ones:

Chris Harris
Paul Adams (SA spinner/whatever)
Marcus North
Gangully (Bowler and towards the end of his career the batsman too)
Marcus North
Broads (both father and son)
Kumble (Was a good bowler but most times we made him look out of this world bowler except for a few memorable phaintis by Inzi/YK/MoYo/Afrid/Anwar etc.)
Vettori (If he is a spinner than every Indian medium pacer bowled at 100 MPH too)
Watson (We kick started his brilliant come back)
Carl Rackman
Botha
Most of this NZ team
on and on the list goes

To be honest, this NZ team will be destroyed in the WC to better teams. We have made them look so much better than they are because their dibbly dobblers like Oram, Stryis, and Franklin were able to get through their overs and take wickets. Teams like Aus and India will punish such bowling.

I agree. These dibbly dobblies got hammered by Bangladesh in subcontinent. There wont be short boundaries to give them a chance in the WC.

This Herath only seems to do well against Pakistan.

Dont hear from him for ages and then suddenly they play him against Pakistan and he picks up some cheap wickets.

I called it in the commentary thread when I came to know that Herath is playing instead of Mendis. That keep a close eye on him as I suspect him to bowl his quota cheaply and might get some wickets.

Combine the legendary bowlers Lakshmipathy Balaji + Rao Iftikhar and what do you have?

The one and only, the unplayable Balaji Rao !!

(I thought the fatso bowled a very negative line btw)

If Taylor is a Lalu then we easily have about 12 Lalu's in our squad of 15 on present form.

The guy was bowling at nearly 90 mph and swinging the new ball. He can also reverse the ball. He is going to become a very good bowler.
