Which group of 5 players is better?

I know the squad has been picked but is there that big of a difference between the regular choices and the forced choices made?

Grouo A

Ahmed Shahzad
Hafeez
Asad Shafiq
Sohail Tanvir
Wahab

Group B
Butt
Malik
Yusuf
Amir
Asif

For obvious reason butt, amir and siaf are suspended. Malik and Yusuf have been overlooked for personal/fitness issues. BUT IDEALLY GROUP B cohort of players would have been picked instead of group A.

Now group A consists of inexperienced palyers who are still establishing themselves in the team. Whereas groupB represents well established players in the Pak team.

Will the loss of these 5 be felt or can the ohers compensate?

Talent wise - Group B hands down.

However, there is that little issue about spot-fixing hovering around three/four of those players.

Out of the current squad- The definite starters you would have- Afridi, Razzaq, Gul, Umar Akmal, Akhtar, Yunis khan. Then also kamran, misbah and ajmal/rehman. But if the 5 were available, it would make a much stronger team with good bench strength. Now we are relying on certain players more.
I'd prefer

Butt
Malik
Yunis
Yusuf
Umar Akmal wk
Afridi
Razzaq
Amir
Akhtar
Gul
Asif

With Misbah, Kamran, Ajmal and Rehman in reserve.

Group B that is why Misbah's captaincy is all the more impressive. Last year with a better team Yousuf almost lost to NZ whereas this year with a weaker team Misbah was able to defeat them.

I disagree yousufs team did not have Younis Khan. That makes a big difference. The 2 Y's together wouldve been awesome.

Group B is certainly better. It is Asif and Amir that makes them better.

Amir was a genious.

Even Wasim said he was more talented at his age , then the great man himself.

We need Amir back , no matter what.

For ODIs? Amir and Yousuf are class acts when it comes to ODIs, Butt, Malik and Asif are all easily replaceable in this arena.

If he played sincerely though, Butt would've had fun in this tournament. Pathetic loser though.

Off course. Then he will get a ban no matter what I say.

I just hope , they see extenuating circumstances for him.

But if they slapped him life, i would not protest, cuz every man is responsible for his life.
