I've never heard '92 called a fluke before it was suggested here. I was only a wee boy then and hadn't discovered cricket, but after my personal research, I can look back fondly on a lot of things that happened at that World Cup. There are quite a few videos on the internet - I LOVE Inzy's innings against New Zealand.

I will have absolutely no problems with anyone calling India's 2011 WC win as a fluke
![]() Fluke or no fluke, as long the team wins, who cares about what others are saying. |

World cup wins are very rarely flukes because you ought to win atleast 3 games in a row to take home the cup.
The word undeserving is completely different from fluke, and IMO too subjective to have an rational discussion about.

^ Exactly. South African team would kill to to have such 'luck' and so called fluke WC victory.

No world cup win is a fluke. To win any cup tournament you dont have to win every single game; just peak at the right time and be abe to handle pressure situations. NZ were the most consistent team of the 92 cup - Pakistan were the only team team to beat them and did it twice in back to back must win matches.
