Pakistan's Remaining Tours in 2011

Sorry to look so far ahead of the WC but the minnows are boring me to death so I must ask, after the WI tour, what lies ahead for the team?

I know Ijaz Butt said he's trying to get a series with India but I think they're filled the rest of the summer. Our recent series have been with NZ, SA, ENG, AUS so those are unlikely....I could see a tour of Bangladesh or Sri Lanka...

Any ideas or credible speculation on this matter?

Well, we have a two month gap between the WI series and the ZIM series.

There are four teams that will be playing during that two month gap - ENG, IND, SRI & WI.

Thus, we can set up a mini series with any one of BANG, AUS, RSA or NZ.

5 ODIs and 2 tests.

This will occur in August.

A two month break could be appropriate as suggested by Down2Earth.

Did some more research and after the ZIM tour we're supposed to play SL at "home" and BAN sometime at the end of the year...but not sure how accurate this is.

2 months is too much, we can't play in SA, NZ, or Aus at that time, would be winter there. Would have to be in uae, unless Eng let's us host matches there.

from what I heard/read earlier, a full home series with Srilanka is to be played in Oct-Dec. Although, venue for the home series has not been decided yet. We will be hosting England (most probably in UAE) Jan - Feb for a full series as well.

2 month break?

How about rest the regular players and play the new guys against Zimbabwe. 2 month break is 2 month 2 long.

We really need a tour against one of the top 5 teams to help improve our squad in terms of quality and so that the nearly bankrupt PCB can get some cash in the kitty.

We are meant to be playing W.I, Zim and Bangla in tests and ODIs so we should be looking to win all 3 series!
