Cant any of our openers play straight?

All the way through this tourney so far regardless of whose opened we have seen our openers trying to whip straight balls of middle stump through the legside. Whilst i understand most Pakistan players are wristy and like to play the flick shot! Why not wait till the new ball has stopped swinging? The percentages of sucess are very low. Today we see Brett Lee come in fired up bowling 90mph and we get hafeez looking to flick things away from middle stick and Kami with his feet in cement also looking to whip balls away.

The coaches need to sit down with these guys and explain the importance of playing straight atleast until the ball has gone softer or stopped darting around!

Hafeez must have been dimissed atleast 3 times in this world cup playing across the line!

Hafeez and Kamran love to play straight. I can picture them driving straight instantly. I think it had more to do with the pitch.

Hafeez does play with a straight bat. But agree with you, he's got out playing across the line on more than one occasion in this tournament.
