Afridi should remain captain...

As we all know Afridi struggled at start when he took over as captain, he was finding the right team combination and the team was trying out a few things. We had some good and soom bad results but all in all it has been fairly competitive and we haven't been white-washed .

Plenty PPers, fans and pundits kept doubting him and his ability to lead the team because of his approach to his batting mainly and some things he did at start not saying its all perfect now but it is brining the right results.

Like all human beings he also makes mistake and learns from them. He has done a good job making this team into a unity with the help of seniors and young blood injected into the team.

I really hope he remains captain for years to come because I feel he is the right man who can lead the team with aggression, authority and self-belief. He has the respect needed and players seem to back him. He hasn't been afraid of convincing the management of picking young player untested at International level and with few talent here and there yet to debut for Pakistan a real golden era is on the way for us as long as things go right.

His captaincy I feel will improve and get better with time and experience. His batting and bowling will always have a place for him in the team as long as he deliver and stays fit. Only 31 years old (arguably still 16 ) he has a few good years of cricket left in him and I desperately hope that he continues to skipper the side in the upcoming years and inshallah he will do a good job for the country.

We should gradually groom young players to take over in few years, Players such as Umer Akmal and Shehzad and Azhar Ali have shown some leadership skills I feel and they can still learn a lot. Not saying that they should be put under pressure but PCB should start thinking outside the box. An example would be Clarke who has been VC for few years and is probably ready to take over Punters role.
