We want a Pakistan-India bilateral series in England

We really do.

The Mohali match was a reminder of what we had been missing.

Maybe not neutral tests after the flops last summer but a 5 match ODI series would be a winner for cricket given the popularity and quality of both teams.

So what do we think?

Yes. It would be awesome!

Even neutral Tests in England would have a packed crowd. ODIs would be crazy.

The Oval, Birmingham, Nottingham & Leeds/Manchester would be stunning venues.

India can't have a tour man. They have already arranged enough tours. There will be an India vs Pakistan tour in january-beuary next year.

Not going to happen. Simply because of the ECB-PCB relationship.

Look at the past 2 tours, pak to england - 2006: oval test 2010: spot fixing.

I dont think India will play against Pakistan in overcast conditions. It'd not look good to see best batting line up bowled out for 88 or so.

A test series in Ireland or Netherlands should be perfect. Will serve two goals. First one obviously an India-Pakistan clash, second one will be to promote cricket there

As long as we had ACU people here

Bring it on. Indian fans usually buy up the tickets early and even Lords is sold out this summer but Pakistan fans would turn out in huge numbers while shouting much louder than them.

I don't think there is much problems between ECB and PCB since Giles Clarke who is supposed to look after Pakistan cricket understand the nature of our board but ECB don't really get on with BCCI.

I would for Pakistan to play India in India before we play them at a neutral venue. UAE have boring wickets so England would be a better option for entertainment.

Pakistan India bilateral series can never match the hype of Ashes. The dead wickets that are produced for their encounters all but kill any building anxiety to the game. The last few test series have been absolutely appalling to watch, with lulloos like Kamran and Misbah scoring runs at will.

I think the odd game that the two countries play in ICC tournaments more than enough to keep up the charm of the rivalry. Bilateral series too boring

pakistan india would be the craziest atmosphere in england. would love to have that. i'd defo go to the old trafford, birmingham and headingley games. you know they will sell out with paksitanis. id think the up north/midlands games would be pakistani dominated. then lords/oval would be more indian fans. but either way you know each game would sell out.

Not right now.

The PCB/team management will let their emotions get the best of them and instead of giving the youngsters a chance they will bring in all the oldsters and ruin the development young players for another decade.

I much rather face Indian in 2 years time with a young and promising team than the same old guys who have been carrying the losing legacy since the late 2000s.

would be an epic series but our bowling attack in tests lacks the X-factor that we had with Asif & Amir but still would be a great series none the less!

I'm all for 3 tests and 5 ODIs series! and perhaps 1 T20! this would be a major money maker!!!

Would be very interesting. Don't think the Indians would agree to it though.

Being caught in a shoot-out on some juicy pitches, or at least ones juiced up by the overhead conditons (Trent Bridge, Headingly in particular) would be too risky.

Plus we all know how the Pak team respond to the support in England...

After the spot fixing saga, an extremely unprofessional approach by Ijaz Butt in the form of mouth diarrhea against the English players has pretty much closed the doors for pak to play in England as a neutral venue.
Two things need to happen here,
First and perhaps the easy one, ECB looks into an India Pak series as a lucrative business deal and gives a nod to the prospective.
Second and perhaps next to impossible, India agrees to play Pakistan in England AT ANY COST !!

Yes Pakistan has kicked itself in the teeth after the debacle last year in England. We should be looking forward to some tests in England this year together with a tantalising prospect of a triangluar tournament with India perhaps.

Unfortunately it looks we won't be invited back to England in a hurry. So we won't be playing any tests in the off season.

I'm sure the added incentive of the revenue that can be generated from such a match will be enough to persuade a man like Clarke to hold a such a series under the guise of 'repairing relations between all three nations' or something along those lines.

Exactly what I was going to say. The ECB extended the hand of friendship to the PCB and Ijaz Butt spat in it.

I hope so as they say - Money talks BS walks.

The other problem is fitting it in as I'm the sure the England India series is fairly long already. I don't want to see jamodis - I want 3 tests!

Honestly speaking, I think the most likely pak v india series would be in India itself. This would be a massive money maker - why should the BCCI split the revenue with the ECB? Plus the PCB would be the host so would get most revenue. And as already pointed out, it's unlikely pak will be allowed into England for some time to come.

In what sense? Possibly the PCB would be the host board. However in terms of attendances I think predictably it will be at 75% Indian.

The other problem is fitting it in as I'm the sure the England India series is fairly long already. I don't want to see jamodis - I want 3 tests!
LoL. I do too but I don't think we can hope for much more than 2 Tests per series at neutral venues. The ECB wouldn't risk that much. More tests = more to go wrong with with. Sometimes, I wish our test series against England was Jamodi

Yes!!! It would be awesome. ODIs will be close and I ll back the Indian team to win it in tests. Plus ECB will make some serious money.

Like last years series against Australia in England. That was deemed a 'home' series for Pakistan played on neutral soil.

For Pak v India, there should be a fair amount of Pakistanis, especially up North in the country.

Yes but in my experience Indians still outnumber Pakistanis in actually attending a ground even outside of London. I went to the ICC Champions Trophy game at the Edge a few years back - probably 75-80% Indian and this in Brum! I went to the WC game at Old Trafford back in 99 - similar! This in Manchester!

Never mind the T20 game at the Oval !

Most Pak fans leave the ticket buying to the last minute, not as organised. Anyhow, as you have witnessed, the atmosphere is electric.

Pak v india at edgbaston cricket ground would be incredible, the west midlands area is dominated by asians and the atmosphere which would be created at the ground is just undescribable

Yes that was the case for the ICC Champions Trophy game a few years back. Our record in that competition is 2nil....maybe we should think we are playing in the Champions Trophy when we play in the WC.

LOL at this thread. You really think the ECB is ever going to be hospitable to us again?

Agreed- would love 3 tests.

However, the counties won't risk having a neutral test after Yorkshire's losses last summer over the Aus v Pak test.

Think of the talent- Shafiq, U Akmal, Wahab, Gul vs Kohli, Yuvi, Raina, Harbhajan
