pakistans first car rolls out.

this is pakistans first car, its a jeep and a truck

http://adammotor.netfirms.com/

this is some good news after seeing the piece of cr@p made by habib motors called sitara. more like a golf cart then a car.

First ever Pakistani car is all set to roll out for commercial sale in the last week of March or first week of April this year with more than 70 per cent indigenised parts.

"We are waiting for a nod from Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, whom we expect to witness this rolling out ceremony," said Feroz Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Adam Motor Company Ltd (AMCL) while talking to The News here on Tuesday.

"Whenever, Shaukat Aziz confirmed the time and availability, we would roll this vehicle out in the market for commercial sale," said Feroz Khan and added that the car has already completed 24,000 road driving test in Pakistan.

Initially, it was driven from Karachi to Ormara in 43 degree Celsius, then from Karachi to Peshawar once via Lahore and Islamabad and finally to Quetta thrice. "Things have proved successful beyond our expectations," he said and added "despite the few tingling, everything is running smoothly".

Khan was much enthusiastic about his latest roll out despite the fact that the last product of his company - a four-wheel drive luxury jeep - had seemingly failed to attract significant number of buyers.

Having no franchise from any of the existing car manufacturers of the world, his company AMCL is rolling out this car designed for the needs of local users. It may be second such experience after Proficient project, which proved a futile and failed exercise despite giving the quality to users.

About deletion and ratio of indigenous parts of the vehicles, he said that initial deletion programme of his company was approved at 66.5 per cent. However, "we are doing more than that and local parts would be more than 70 per cent in this vehicle".
