Top-scorer most often/times in Tests

Saw this list of batsmen on another forum..... who top scored most times and most often for their sides in completed (all-out, i.e., ten players were dismissed) Test innings. The first column gives the number of time they top-scored (TS) and the second gives the number times they were one of the top three highest scorers (T3). The third column gives the number of completed innings in which the listed player batted.

Top-scorer most often (batted in at least 50 completed innings):

Bradman, Gavaskar, Habib, Andy Flower, Lara - obvious choice of players way ahead of their teammates.

haha, others were not that obvious for me. If I was asked to make a guess who would have made into that list (the first one), I would have been able to name those only. Other players are good, but I didn't know that they were so waaaay ahead of their team mates.

Good thread.

Goes to show how underappreciated Shiv Chanderpaul is for Windies.

Him and Lara held that batting lineup together for so long yet even by the responses so far in this thread people aren't recognizing his contribution.
