More Bob Willis...

from skysports website...

Q - David and Bob, following the logic of many English pundits after the Ashes series (Ian Botham springs to mind), should Pakistan now be regarded as the world's best cricket team? Matt Pollinger Sydney.

BOB SAYS: People may have got a little carried away but I don't have any problem with the celebrations! It was a long wait since 1989, so let's enjoy it! It is the contest that means the most in this country and as Mohammad Akram said on our commentary, Pakistan v India is the one that matters most to in Pakistan and India. Australia are still the best side at taking on teams home and away. Pakistan probably travel slightly better than India ["slightly better"??! shows he knows nothing] but those two sides have a real problem when they play away from home. In South Africa and Australia both Pakistan and India struggle [we dont struggle in england! ], and Pakistan only managed to draw in the West Indies and have only won one in six, so it is nonsense to say they are best in the world. They are maybe the best team in the world in their own back yard, but not overall!

I fail to see the problem here. Of course Pakistan isn't the best team in the world.

He is right, we have struggled in Australia and South Africa. Also long way to becoming number 1 team.

I remember the days when we had lost almost every home series. Even to Zimbabawe. At that time no one could have said that we were the best team in our own backyard. We are better tourists though, only the recent Aussie tour blemishes that.

I agree, never liked him before the series. Some of his comments might be controversial, but they sure are funny. One of the moments of the series was when he pulled out his mobile phone an told Fletcher to call him!

What about the part where Colville said it looked like the Aussies were back on track against the West Indies and Bob just ripped into the quality of the Windies attack. "Fidel EdWAAAAAAAAAAARDS?!?!?!"

If I was a few years older I'd have lost control of my bladder and pished myself right there and then it was that funny.
