Mine is at Little Caesars Pizza at the age of 16.

Worked in the basement of a fish and chip shop when I was 14, completely illegally and off the books. Used to get my hands dirty and the mick taken out of me every Saturday and come out stinking, but always left with thirty quid and a box of fish and chips for the walk home, and I was happy.

30 quid and a box of fish and chips is well worth it at 14.

Yep not only did I always get a nice tea, but living at home as a teenager, 30 quid seemed like all the money in the world. Things are a bit different now...

First official job I was at the age of 22.

as a Software Developer in Boston with a pay around USD 55 k per annum.

That was those dream days. No family to worry about or to return home early. Enough money to spend on whatever you want.

I think 5 years from that time was the best time of my life. and then marriage happened.

First job was working in my Uncle's dry cleaners on the Suzy machine at the age of 13. That was some intense labour man.

I can't remember but I think I got paid £160 for two weeks of work and I didn't know what to do with the money...

LOL, Yeah, the one in Oracle but I stopped working there last week. I'm not allowed to take 5 weeks off so I had to leave, but I'm going to try and apply again when I come back from Pakistan.

Don't worry Ace, If I start working there again, I'll make sure you get a discount... in the makeup section.

My first job was at the train station @ leeds in the journey's friends-did it for 2 months and then quit.

Then got lucky and got a job @ the uni. library- 8 hours studying my course and getting paid for it

Also did invigilation for uni exams when was doing my masters-was fun catching cheeky sods trying to cheat-knew all the tricks out there....

Good o' day of uni...

How come I didn't know you worked there? I walked passed it a week or so ago, could have dropped in and bought some mascara ... for the Mrs obviously ... ahem.

Isn't the makeup section right next to the perfume section? Sure you could sort me out with some cut price Paco Robanne ... eh?

Ladies handbags and accessories worth up to £150 were kept on a dirty dusty floor in the stockroom, kicked around by the stockroom assistants. People wouldnt see the damage, and pay the full price on a handbag which by the time it has been through the stockroom is a second.

The managers were constantly bitching with each other, thankfully I was on the good side of my manager so I didnt have to do the donkey work like clean etc.

There were always 'incidents' on staff nights out, stuff like managers getting it on with other staff. Really opened my eyes as to what the culture is, I then tried even harder on my A-levels to get into Uni as I would not want to be working there full time!

I'm not one of those people who can balance studies with part time jobs. Plus, teenagers generally don't work in Pakistan (unless they don't attend school altogether). I haven't really had a 'real' job yet, but I do a whole lot of freelancing online. I choose how much I want to work, and I earn money in dollars, so yeah, life is pretty good! I mostly do administrative tasks and search engine optimization. Nothing too fancy, since i'm just a 19 year old person without any valuable skills
