Lack of concentration leads to dropped catches

The Wahab Riaz catch amongst other was a dolly and there is no logic other than lack of concentration. It is not a matter of coaching but professionalism which costed us this test. Unfortunately there will be no action taken to improve this aspect. maybe a system of fines and some harsh physical punishment like 10 laps per drop may deter these idiots from fantasising about probably meeras or next plate of biryani.

Fielding is the one discipline that you can improve with hard work and hours and hours of practice and then some. You don't need to be particularly talented whereas in batting and bowling you can get away with relying on what Allah has given you, for a couple of seasons at least. So no surprise that it is the discipline that we are poorest at.....really betrays the lack of a hard work ethic within the squad.

2 hours in a camp is not much. How much do they do daily.....in the morning, in the evening and when not playing a game?

One aspect which really shows their lazyness is their throwing. This is all about practice. Yes some can throw further and faster but I'm talking about accuracy. If you look where the keeper is having to take the returns they are rarely above the stumps. Practice...just practice!!

our catching has improved, especially from the last 9 months or so. It was just one of those days.

It is a matter of considering it your passion and not a job. Just like they bat or bowl because it is their passion, they need to have the hunger to chase or hold on to the ball.

Got to feel for the bowlers in this case..... Wouldn´t even have got to the tea on fourth had they held on to their chances. My father was gutted with the fielding!

i am not talking about taking jonty rhodes type catches but simple ones which every club cricketer takes every week because he is sincere with his team.
