BOB ANSWERS WHY MALIK WAS PUT DOWN AT NUMBER 6 AND NOT NUMBER 3

Hi nassar_10,
To answer your question about Malik, he was put down the order as he had just travelled back from Australia.
Bob

again...

REPLY BY: BOB, (20 Dec 2005, 00h16:27)
Hi kamran19_h,
Malik went down the order after a long an arduous journey to Australia and back. We decided not to rock the boat and keep the order the same for a few games.

weve heard this non-sense before from Bob.

He said during interview in test series with rameez when asked about pakistans back up bowling that pakistan had umar gul/shahid nazir. He also said that only way these to could prove themselves was by been given games. Are either of them playing or been given a chance? Nope.

The usual its a big series we wont experiment story will come out from start of india series and sami will be there as per usual.

Hi shayanadamjee,

Actually this is the question that was asked...

Quote:
4) I know you dont like to compare players, but is Mohammed Asif ahead of Umar gul in hte pecking order? Is Asif also a tall line and length bowler who gets swing like Umar gul, or does he provide something else?
I think Bob was responding to the second part of the question and not the first part as he doesnt answer questions on selection.

I think he was referring to swing when he said one goes out and the other in but I could be wrong.
