best catch I've ever seen from a Pakistani fielder, better than Malik vs WI or Aaqib Javed in 92 WC.

It was an unbelievable catch, I'm not joking it goes down in the top 5 catches of all time.

To cover that amount of ground in 0.7 of a second is literally unheard of and that too against a spinner close in at slip when the batsman is going for a wild slop. Unbelievable I was shocked when I saw it.

what you won't see in the clip is that before the ball Younis told Rehman to throw up the ball, made a driving motion with his hand to suggest that Shahadat would go after it.

and the rest is there for all to see.

Whippy Younis covered more ground than most of those catches in a lesser reaction time and at a more difficult angle (slip against spinner)

Yes they're all great catches but you need to be a slipe fielder to know which one of those catches was the best of the lot.

Diving full stretch to quickies is one thing, you can see the ball coming towards you from a distance but against a spinner, I've never seen it (someone may have done it) and that too against a full blooded slog.

Mostly subjective topic, but anyone who thinks that Younis catch is better than the best of Collingwood must be on drugs...

Absolutely not, Collingwood's catch of Hayden was the best catch I've ever seen.

But Younis' catch has been definitely in the top 5 I've been lucky enough to seen.

The amount of ground he covered was incredible. That would have been a tricky one for a second slip for the spinner.

Yeah an incredible catch no doubt - but top five ever, nooooo.......

Colly's catch in the slips off Ponting may even be better than the one off Hayden. The man is insane.

Dravid's 200th catch is pretty special, 49 times out of 50 those go for 4

Love the low Ponting one too. Soooooo tough! And he did it.

Haydens was the best cos it was effectively behind him...

It was also a powerfull shot off a fast fast bowler....

Alll the others are pretty similar (including YKs)...

YKs was very close up so very little reaction time...

WOW what a catch. awsome one. The best catch for me would be Afridi catch against eng back in 2002-03 i think. when he collided with mallik but stil hold on to the catch and pak won that final. what a moment that was. its on the youtube aswell. it was trescothink with a 100 and last wkt with saqi bowling the last over.

I totally agree. For me thats the best catch ever by a pakistani fielder and top 10 of all time. Simply amazing. Breath taking stuff.

What makes it more amazing is the fact that Younis Khan is 36 years old.

Rhodes was the first modernist dynamo fielder so his name has become synonymous with quality fielding, but Colly was actually better!

(tweeted this the other day and got a positive response)

Controversial though, fo sho.....

Colly's leap vs Hayden > That Jonty leap

yep who can forget that drop. Colly has dropped quite a few catches as well. anyway all these 4 including colly are in the top 10 for the best fielders. All very agile and nimble on their feet. Very natural athletes. All four of them dont have an an inch of fat on them.

I think it's difficult to debate who is the best fielder but I would guess the majority of cricket fans would put Jonty above the rest. I've seen Colly drop a few but can't remember seeing Jonty drop one, mabye the memory has taken a bashing over the years but it would interesting to find out who has dropped most catches or missed the stumps when throwing?

Does anyone remember some fat Bermudan cricketer at slip who made some insane catch?

That was pure class. Who says age has caught up with him? His reflexes are better than most of the younger players

Fantastic catch, great reflexes despite his age.

YK's has to right up there. Swift reflexes, he's naturally a gifted fielder.

YK catch is fantastic but it won't come anywhere near top 10 for sure. Only from the clips posted by Wippy, I can see Colly and Dravid catch being more difficult than YK. I remember seeing some fantastic catches but don't have time to look for them right now.

Anyway, it's subjective but I would say it might be top 5 catch by a Pakistani. Fantastic effort.

I believe I said catch of 2011.
If people can't read the title then no point of reading all the useless replies. Talk about a catch in 2011. Not top 5 n top 10. ignorance has no limits on forums.

Lol at people getting carried away in this thread

first YK's catch being in the top 5 of all time. Then Colly better than Jonty and to top it off Kaif better than Colly.

Chill out fellas.
