'Congratulations to Misbah's Pakistan from England fans' thread

England haven't been battered like this in at least five years! A mauling. Hopefully our lot can regroup for a busy year, where we can still do well. But for now, the talk should be of Pakistan. The better team right now, pure and simple. Truly awesome!! All the best gents, you deserve it.

Like i said to you before the start of the series, This pakistan team is playing as a unit and ever improving and i said we would win the series and so we have. In these conditions we are tough to beat and so we have shown!

I said 2-0 and we are already 2-0 up!

The day i dont have faith in my team is the day i will retire from this board and watch watching the game!

I'm pretty sure Whippy and the English fans were thinking they should win this after the innings change and rightly so, it was brilliant bowling and England's approach was not positive at all.

Cheers, time to head out and enjoy the rest of the day.

I think you should come up with a recipe of making them 1 foot taller

In all fairness, Pak variation is just too good for now. I am glad that Eng Vs Pak is turning out to be a good tussle on the wicket now than anywhere else. I hope the same for other teams as well which would give Test cricket a good advertisement.

Thanks Whippy, it's great to be talking about Pakistan for the quality of cricket rather than the murkier side as is usually the case when these two sides meet. Actually even if England had won it would have been the same as the cricket has been gripping from the first ball to the last so far in this test series.

First of all, I'm a newbie to this site as a poster. However, I have been a reader for a couple of years. I've always enjoyed the posts of the OP, Whippy - an England fan. Thank you Whippy for showing your class and your kind comments.

Right - now today was absolutely astonishing. I gave up watching at the demise of the last wicket and only started watching it again when someone text me that the score was 37-4 !!

Amazing. Fantastic. Great fightback by Pakistan and they deserve full credit.

It's nice to see contributions from virtually every team member over the 2 tests. The only batsman without a 50 is Younis which is a surprise. And the bowler who has not contributed with at least one significant wicket taking performance is the 2nd seamer (Cheema and Junaid).

I'm delighted that Shafiq showed his credientials in the match - I was in favour of dropping him for U Akmal. Good job I'm not a selector!

Team for the last game: Wahab in for Junaid. Junaid is clearly not fit and has put on a few pounds it seems. His time will come. Wahab offers two much required benefits : 1. Extra pace 2. The ability to bat. Our tail enders have been shocking.

Go Pakistan!

Thanks whippy and the rest of the England fans. Whatever the result, both sets of fans should be happy with both teams display through out this test. It wasn't a one sided assault like we've been seeing in Aus. This match was a proper WAR with the tides swinging from one team to the other after each session. England bowled superbly I felt and England should not lose hope. They will not face an elite spinner like Ajmal in India or Lanka and IMO will be able to beat them. This series has been good for England in the fact they will have learnt some valuable lessons and be able to take it with them to the sub continent. Congrats to all cricket fans for the wonderful display of cricket we have witnessed.

Pak fans lets all learn a thing here and when it is our turn be as gracious instead of complaining about an LBW next one week.

Thanks to Pakistan for bringing down the mighty Poms to earth. My condolences to all Englishmen/South Africans/Irish in the England team.

Good to see you can acknowledge that defensive misbah would be found out as player and captain in this series.

Pretty much hes shown england a lesson in how to play and captain in these conditions.

definitely. The English media's sad tactics have been overshadowed here, by many days of excellent hard fought test cricket. You need quality sides with quality players for this to happen.

i think its a reflection of the captains attitudes, misbah and strauss hardly seem like the guys who would enjoy a controversy.
