Which 3 players you would drop from ODI team right away?

Which 3 players you would drop from ODI team and squad right away? And why?

I would drop:
1. YK
2. Misbah
3. Aizaz Cheema

My reasoning is very simple: These 3 players will not be available to play in WC 2015. So no point in continue playing them.

In YK's case another reason is that he was never a good ODI player.

From the squad

Farhat - one who never learns from his errors and is undeserving of a place
Malik - useless, tried and tested failure
Gul - needs rest and to regain form

Replace

With
Sami - who has failed before
Rana - another tried and tested failure, bbut wouldnt mind him in odi for a few game

Both of these guys are not for the future but short term solution

I cant think of anyone at opener

1. Farhat (dude sucks, should be playing tape ball cricket for a local league)

2. Younis Khan (great for tests, not ODI material anymore)

3. Asad Shafiq (not ODI material, good for tests)

4. Azhar Ali (who was the genius that thought putting this gem of a test player in ODIs is a good idea?)

5. Adnan Akmal(not good enough, also carries the "catch dropping gene" linked to the Akmals. We need a worthy keeper who CAN BAT)

6. Aizaz Cheema (grandpa, its time to rest. Bring in Junaid or another promising youngster)

I'm pretty sure those are more than 3 players......

Lol at Umar Gul to be dropped from ODI side. Temporarily perhaps to regain some form. But he must be in any WC side.

Look the point is all the players cannot be dropped. There has to be better replacement. For eg if is dropped what are the replacement???

First thing is identify the replacement , and get them into the team slowly slowly , build there confidence. then only get rid of players, there is no point in just recycling the same old players in the name of change.

Yes I wanted him out from the role of captaincy.

Misbah will be Malik's VC.

Hafeez will be misbah's assistant.

Regarding Afridi...he will lead our B-team...(Pakistan will send B team to play against minnows)

Our top players wont be allowed to play against minnows.
YK will be Afridi's VC as he's also mega minnow hunter.

I would drop Gul Cheema and Adnan Akmal
Brining in Wahab, Rehman and Ahmed Shehzad

Also openers should be Ahmed Shehzad and Imran Nazir or Imran Nazir and Nasir Jamshed followed by

Hafeez isn't a suitable opener against decent bowlers

80% this our odi team is miss fit, why only three?

start from here
Farhat
Azher ali
Asad Shafiq
Younis khan
Misbah
Adanan Akmal
Umer gull
Azeez Cheema

with this current team if play 100 matches with this current england team we will lost 90 times, only we can win on the day when afrid will take 5 wickets with bowling and few runs with bat on same day.
this team is good for test but very poor for odis

all 3 are average skilled players.. and will always be average.. there are many great players who have average skills but due to sheer determination converted it into greatness.. these guys dont have it in them.. special mention that cheema is now well into his 30s tho.. if he had played at 22 then i think he would have had alot more potential.

If we have good replacement than u can replace:

nr1st: Farhat
nr2nd: Gull
nr3rd: younis
nr4th: Replace the odi captain

Then we have players who are not good enough but we have no choice such as

amazing that in this ODI series Afridi is the best batsman of Pakistan. His batting average 32.33 is highest for Pakistan. Umar Akmal is 2nd best at 31.00 and Imran Farhat is 3rd best at 22.00.

Yet almost all posters want Farhat out before YK and Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali?

Aparantly one poster said that he averages around 45 against the non minnows in the past year or so which is a disgrace. Needs a long rest from ODI's. Let him work for his spot and not take it for granted.

Yet almost all posters want Farhat out before YK and Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali?
Disgraceful averages from all of them.

Farhat, Malik, YK - All 3 are tried and tested failures. Also i would consider calling time on Razzaqs ODI career as well.

with 46 half centuries and over 6000 runs i beg to differ, he was our most reliable number 3 batsman practically an opener for a long time. don't go by current form overall he is a odi legend atleast for pakistan just for his contributions

Shoaib Malik - his recent performances speak for themselves. I was very pro-Malik as a LOI player but Hafeez is doing a spectacular job and Malik isn't exactly setting the world alight.

Imran Farhat - done well but his luck will run out soon

Adnan Akmal - not a natural stroke maker like his brothers. OK with gloves. we should find someone better.
