England's loss, they barely made 200 batting first and would have lost by a much bigger margin were it not for Ajmal Shahzad reversing a few. Anderson and the batsmen were absolutely shocking.
The India game was just a thriller. |

England just a bit more perhaps because it was in a big event like World cup, like India's loss in 2007 vs Bangladesh.

India vs. Bangladesh because:
-India are the current world champions -Tendulkar scored a century and they still lost, somewhat proving his critics right -Before the match Mushfiqur Rahim challenged the Indian bowlers and called them ordinary and he backed up his words -Mushfiqur Rahim with a career SR below 70 ended up with a SR of 180+ -Bangladesh scored 96 runs in the last 10.3 overs whereas the BD RR was barely above 4 for most of the match, showing how easily the Indian bowlers can be dominated and how poor they really are -India got a lot of questionable umpiring decisions in their favour and they still lost England loss was embarrassing too but that England ODI team was crap, the Ireland loss was way more embarrassing for them given that Ireland barely play in subcontinental conditions. I don't think India match was embarrassing, theybatted well but the BD batsmen showed a lot of intent and courage. BD actually is pretty good both the matches , the pakistan match was very close until the last 5 overs and I expect a close one b/w BD-srilanka.

First of all i wouldn't use the term embarrassing as i dont consider Bangladeshiz an outcast. They are talented people and on their day can upset any team. That day comes rarely but still. Losing is not an embarrassement for me. I feel embarrassed when bowlers like Dinda, Vinay are bowling and when some stupid Indian fans raise their fingers on SRT not knowing how much he has served the country.
Back to OP, one was a world cup defeat where every team is supposed to send its best squad and where defeat is not an option, the other came in a not so important Asia Cup match. India may still be going into the finals even if they lose to Pakistan tomorrow. Anyone who feels an insignificant Asia Cup defeat is anywhere near a World Cup defeat is delusional or a British (with due respect dear OP ).

As a side note, of all the stronger Test playing nation (excluding Zimbabwe), England is the only team to have been beaten in a home ODI against Bangladesh (Bristol, 2nd ODI 2010).......
http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/426404.html I am not counting their victories over/in West Indies from year 2009 since we all know that it wasn´t even West Indies´ third string squad that played against Bangladesh. Their best players weren´t selected due to some issues I guess.

Our loss against Bangladesh in 2007? Defnitely embarrassing.
Day before? Who gives a damn. It's just the Asia Cup. We've beaten Sri Lanka, we've beaten Pakistan. Who cares who wins now? |
