Haven't followed this match in second half, can someone tell me why despite Gayle batting the entire innings, RCB are so far behind? What's happening?

he didnt get much strike .. he has scored 35 of 35 odd balls at the end of 14th over

That's odd, I would have thought he would have scored a lot more than 100 strike rate after 35-45 balls. Maybe he's not well?

also wickets were falliling quite regularly.. he didnt get time to accelerate..
usually he starts hitting after he gest in , but today other batsmen screwed their runrate
