£20M for Ivanovic? That's kinda expensive.

Was that the game Rafael got tooken off after 60 minutes?
When he had Fletcher and Nani tripling up on Bale?

Rafael is defensively shocking and over-rated to the extreme.

Messi hasn't done that because Barca have been the champions for most of the time and His record in the CL is immense and way better than the un-proven Neymar or Hazard.

I watched Hazard vs Inter Milan and he didn't do anything.

Bale would end up with 20 goals and 30 assists in the French League; It's so cra*

Chamakh was a striker in the french league.

^ He is very poor defensively too. He really won't be an improvement on Rafael if you guys do buy him. And this is coming from a Chelsea fan. Interesting now that Bosingwa has left we are being linked with Van der Wiel for a reported sum of £8m.

Rafael if anything is under rated.

Ye he has had some games where he was shocking in defense, but than in others he has been brilliant. Hes young, improving and will be a brilliant RB.

BREAKING NEWS: Hazard set to seal Chelsea switch

The £32 million-rated Lille attacker is understood to have agreed personal terms with the Blues and is likely to sign for the Stamford Bridge club this week.

Manchester United and Manchester City were also given permission to talk to Hazard but the 21-year-old decided over the weekend to sign for Chelsea, finally bringing the end to the ongoing transfer saga.

On Monday morning, the Belgian then suggested an announcement is imminent when he wrote on Twitter: "good afternoon guys. i made up my mind. see you later. thanks".

Chelsea are believed to have met the financial demands of Hazard and his agent while also swaying his decision by offering a regular starting spot.

The Blues stepped up their pursuit of one of Europe’s hottest talents following their triumph in the Champions League final, which guaranteed they will feature in Europe’s elite competition next season.

Hazard admitted after his final game for Lille that Chelsea’s Champions League triumph had forced him to reconsider his future, having previously been set to join Premier League champions Manchester City.

“Chelsea could interest me now,” Hazard said. “They've won the Champions League and will therefore be in it next season. It's really important for me to be playing in that competition.

"Chelsea are a big club with some great players – of course it's a possibility.”

Manchester United and Manchester City had long been considered to be in a two-horse race for Hazard, but both clubs were believed to be concerned by financial terms being discussed, particularly the £5m fee his agent wanted for the deal.

Hazard was City’s top target for the summer, attending the Manchester derby in late April as a guest of the club before being shown around houses in the area.

But City manager Roberto Mancini has been delivered a chilling snub and Hazard is now set for a move to Chelsea, where Blues owner Roman Abramovich is ready to fund a regeneration of the squad over the summer.

The Ligue 1 player of the season is one of the most highly-rated talents in Europe and has been in stunning form this season, scoring 20 league goals and providing 22 assists.

On a serious note, He and his agent`s money demand is quite high and he is guaranteed a place in the starting lineup so it is probably why he is joining Chelsea.

Chelsea have Mata.

He maybe preferred to start but if he fails in few games then Mata will take his place back.

Overall bad decision on his part which he will regret football wise.

But then again who know, these newspapers is BS most of the time.

Hmm Yeah thats true.

BTW I wonder how Chelsea would do after the financial fair play rule come in to place. They would struggle very much like Man City

Maybe they are doing their final shopping before the rule would force them to cut ther spendings.

I mean

Hulk/Falcao In
Marin In
Hazard In
Kevin De Bruyne In ( On loan to Genk this season)

And Many more players linked with this club.

Apparently the news of a press conference is false

Don't think Llorente will be moving until after the Euro's (if at all)

Reported Manchester City and Chelsea target Edison Cavani is ignoring the transfer talk surrounding him and has hinted he wants to stay at Napoli.

Lloreinte's price wont really shoot up after the Euros. Im guessing that Torres will be the centre of attention, and i doubt that Spanish strikers will be as penetrative and clinical as David Villa.

Bilbao might as well use his Hitman image now and take the best offer now

Most Likely, Though maybe Llorente wants to stay, he has been very loyal to Bilbao.

His price won't shoot up BUT he wants to concentrate on the Euro's, with Villa not making it he has a chance of getting a spot in the side. His competition is a dodgy Torres and Negredo

llorente is in last 12 months of his contract, so comanding a large fee would be hard for bilbao. I heard Barca were interested in the player.

If hazard signs then he will play on the left wing mata will be in the middle and maybe hulk will be at the right wing with torres upfront on his own in a 4-2-3-1 and marko marin wont be an automatic starter he is mainly backup.

Hazard want to play number 10 role.

He won't play on wings.

It can be

Chech

Ivanovic - Cahill - Terry - Cole

Lampard - Essien

Hulk - Hazard - Mata

Torres

Mata absolutely needs to play in the centre of this 4-2-3-1 formation. He is not as quick as the other two and also he has vision that neither Hulk or Hazard (if signed) possess. Plus we need the explosive pace of Hulk and Hazard on the wings - an area we have been relatively poor at ever since Robben left.

Only downside I feel with these signings is that I feel the role of Ramires will be hugely diminished. Him being one of my favourite players I would want him to be utilized in the team as well as he runs marathons for us.

If Hazard goes to Chelsea it will be to play behind the main striker

Mata played down the left when he was at Valencia.

I dont think Hazard's inclusion will have anything to do with Mata's position. They will both play and give Torres the supply he needs. If Torres still doesnt provide, he seriously then needs to consider his future.

Hazard said he wants to join a club where he can play the number 10 role and play every game.

Chelsea must have given him insurances that he will play behind the striker. So Mata on the wing I guess

Also I think he has chosen the worst possible club as a youngster to come to, Chelsea's record with young players is terrible. Where is that £20 million Lakaku gone?
Also the players who have come to Chelsea and become good players are over the ages of 25-27, Drogba, Essien, Ballack, Carvalho, Cech etc etc

Last time a young winger with such hype and a decent stats came to Chelsea was Ricardo Querzma, ment to be the next Ronaldo, like hazard had a good record for Porto and Chelsea ruined him now he plays in Turkey

Quaresma arrived at Chelsea with no hype.

He went to Inter Milan and failed and then he went to Chelsea as a last resort.
