Hammad Dropped?

So why was hammad dropped from ODI squad?

just what is wrong with our selectors..The guy never really got a chance and when he did, he did decent. That is one guy you want o give a long run in the team but no, our dumbo selectors have their own agenda's..

And out of nowhere, he is replaced by either Sohail Tanvir or Yasir Arafat in the T20 squad. Both of those two are bowling allrounders! We are playing the next World Cup in SL, selectors. SRI LANKA! That's where you need plenty of spinners, two quickies, and an allrounder. Preferably A BATTING ALLROUNDER!

Seriously the amount of parchees and tried-and-tested failures that are making comebacks in the three squads is absolutely pathetic.

May be they want to concentrate on T20 format. The boy needs to
Work on his bowling a bit yet before he can be called a International all rounder.

Well Farhat is back, so that should make us all feel better. On a positive note, good to see Sami included in the ODI format, where he has done quite well.

Hammad is a good batter than a bowler but is he a good all-rounder? I doubt it. Can somebody shed light on this? may be Whatmore is thinking of 6 batsman + 4 bowlers + Afridi (All-rounder)

Idiotic decision to include him in the T20 squad but not in the ODI squad.

Seriously retarded decision. In the ODI squad we only have one all rounder, and that's Shahid Afridi. Needed Hammad in there. He will probably not even get a chance in the T20s anyways

From what I have seen of him, I haven't been at all impressed. But he deserves chances ahead of the likes of tried, tried, tried and tested failures like Farhat.

I think Hammad did get his fair share of chances. Never really made the most it.

Now he must make use of his opportunity in the T20 team because if he fails again, then he would be dropped from there as well.

He has to score a 200 in the next T20 series or else he's just bakwas.

/sarcasm.

Batting allrounder <<< is he? like everyone else, i am surprised bout "three explosive players" that got selected but if we talk only bout Hammad, how would you wanna select him? What role? if allrounder, sorry but he is not ready yet, his bowling is below average. Selectors cant try "new players" for the sake of it.

I'm not surprised at all. the guy has never proved his bowling abilities, so far - he is a late order batsman and a mediocre medium pacer. I don't think our team needs a player like him.

If mediocre players like afridi can play 300+ games im sure we couldve afforded hammad a proper run

People who criticize Afridi actually fail to comprehend that he is primarily a leg spinner, he has stated it over and over again. And if you just consider him as a bowling allrounder, I think you will not raise questions about him at all. Moreover, he is a brilliant fielder, you have to give him that. But if you expect a blitz from his bat every other innings, then my friend, you are asking too much. Although I agree that he should have reined his temper and matured after playing for so long - way over a decade.

Afridi has been a mediocre bowler throughout his career, if you want me consider him just as an bowler, than I don't think he warrants a place in the team at all. He is playing in the team as an all-rounder and has to perform in both departments if he does not want to get dropped. As far as his fielding is concerned, he is having fitness problems for the past few games that he has played, so things are not bright for boom boom.

Yes it is. Maybe Farhat has connections with a higher power in the PCB that we have no knowledge of.
