Just the one more.

Afridi did it in 80, Akmal in 81.

Having said that, how often does a batsman match Afridi's style of hitting. Gilchrist who?

not really if it's a draw...
the team can't do much about the pitch...
But this doesn't mean that the performance of our batsmen is meaningless.
Having a flat pitch is one thing.....and scoring runs on it is another one.
How many times have we failed to score runs on flat dead pitches?

The match being drawn will not take away from any individual innings. Younis and Yousuf, Afridi and Akmal .. all of their runs will be remembered regardless.

Executing the strategy is key .. just b/c its a belter, doesnt mean all batsmen will score .. Inzy made 1, Salman 6 ..it was upto the batsmen to make the runs, and get on with it. India now has to proove their batting skills to save the match. I can see them easily making 450+, with a couple centurions. IF not, then India will a have a lot to think about coming to Test 2.

Test 1 - Draw

I would rather have centuries in matches won than drawn.
What if Indian batsmen hit centuries in the next one and win it.
Law of averages will catch up with Pakbatsmen

Majid still holds the record for the fastest test century (fewest balls faced) by a Pakistani. He scored it in 74 balls - it was the century before lunch that he scored against new zealand in Karachi 1976/77

Viv Richards holds the record for the fastest test century (fewest balls faced) overall - in 56 balls against england 1985/86
