The Prediction Game Rules

1) Predict test series results, points will be awarded and posters ranked accordingly.

2) Your prediction must be: result of the series (i.e. winning team or draw), and the test count.

3) All predictions MUST be posted before the first ball is bowled in the first test of the series. A previously posted prediction can be changed,
but only up to the same deadline as for the original prediction, i.e. the first ball of the first test.

4) Points will be scored as follows (examples at the end of this message):

A Correct prediction of the winning team (or a draw) = 3 points.

B Correct prediction of either team's test wins in the series = 1 point for each correct team result prediction

(If the test series is being played over 4 or 5 tests, Prediction of a team's test tally to within 1 test (up or down) = 1 point for each closest team result prediction)

5) The points that participants score will be accumulated over the 5 most recent test series. After that, as a new series is completed, its scores will be added to the end of the table,
and the points of the oldest series will drop off. This means that new participants can join in any time. At first they will be at a disadvantage, but as the old results
drop away they will catch up.

A few examples of the scoring system (assume team A plays team B in a 3 test series):

Actual result: Team A won the series 2-1

Prediction: Team A to win 2-1 : Points 3 + 1 + 1 = 5 (maximum points)

Prediction: Team A to win 2-0 : Points 3 + 1 + 0 = 4

Prediction: Team A to win 3-0 : Points 3 + 0 + 0 = 3

Prediction: Team B to win 1-1 : Points 0 + 0 + 0 = 0!

Prediction: Drawn series 0-0 : Points 0 + 0 + 0 = 0!

Things should be about as clear as mud by now. Just ignore all of the preceding, and get your predictions in! I'll collate all the predictions, keep a spreadsheet, and post the running result
table at the completion of each series:

SA/Zim (2 Tests) - 4th March

Aus/NZ (3 tests) - 10th March

WI/SA (4 tests) - 31st March

WI/Pak (2 Tests) - 26th May

Anyone else interested can still join this game as I will be showing the last 5 test result prediction points. Older results get discarded. So anyone can join and dethrone Waheed. 3 points for a correct result, 1 point each for correct team result.

Also Kashif bhai, I'd like to suggest you use the last 10 test series so we can see a fair comparison of who's good @ the prediction game, cuz 5 predictions can be very hit and miss.

MWH is the leader of the pack, well done! MWH scored 20 from a maximum possible of 25...and correctly predicted the results of 3 test series....well ok everyone got the Eng v Bang test result right. Not far behind are hitman (19), WIY (19), northstar (18), sajjad (18) and zm (17). Amoeba despite having one missing entry has started off very well with 15 points. Well done guys!
