Inzi delighted by crunch win

Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq looked forward to the VB Series finals against Australia after his side eliminated West Indies with a 30-run win in Perth.
"The boys were really geared up because it was a crunch game," he said.

They hope the best-of-three final will enable them to finish their tour on a high note after losing the Tests 3-0.

Pakistan beat Australia last weekend but Inzamam said: "Every day is new and everyone knows Australia are the best team. We will have to play well."

Pakistan had centurion Yousuf Youhana and bowler Naved-ul-Hasan, who took 4-29, to thank for the victory.

They face the hosts in the first final in Melbourne on Friday, with the second match in Sydney two days later and a third, if required, in Adelaide on Tuesday.

West Indies skipper Brian Lara stayed positive after the defeat ended their tour prematurely.

Lara described the tour, which brought a single victory over Pakistan and four defeats, as "a learning experience".

He added: "It was the first opportunity for our new coach [Bennett King] to see us play. I'm sure he's going to have new ideas and new plans.

"We enjoyed playing in front of the Australian crowd. Unfortunately (fortunately actually, Brian), we couldn't go any further."
