Dwayne Bravo - " We have good chance of winning world cup"

I don't think so!

There are better teams than west indies,

I thought Australia or South Africa have good chance of winning world cup

with all due respect to Lara's artistry in batting, i don't think the west indies have enough mental strength to win the tournament.

sarwan, gayle, bravo are all talented but they lose focus at crucial times.

i think pakistan has proven they are mentally strong, the sri lanka series and karachi test are good examples.

I will say Pakistan are favourites along side saffies and aussies.

The Prince will make sure that they win the world cup. And if they dont then I want Pak to win it.

They won the Champions trophy in 04!
So yea they can win it but it's unlikely!

I have to say that there is a lot of luck involved in these so called "prestigious tournaments", the only exception is the Ashes where only 2 teams tussle for 25 days before a winner is crowned

WI are falling in the same trap a India after they beat Pakistan 4-1. Just look at what happened to them.
Sure they have won 10/11, but 5 of those win were agianst Zimbabwe. And it wasn't like they annihilated Zim either in those games, Zim ran them fairly close.
With the 2007 WC format the way it is, WI are a lock to make it to the Super Eights. The semis will be very tough for them, at best they ahve an outside chance. Winning the semis and finals will be one miracle too many, IMHO.

Australia didn't need all that much luck in winning WC2003.

I think evrey team, execpt the minnows wil have a chance to win the world cup, they have got home advantage if they utalise their home conditions well, then you never know, but I dont think this WI side can get passed full strength Pakistan or Australian team.

It's possible. They are going to be playing at home turf and at the world cup anything can happen. If Kenya can reach the semi finals, anyone can!

That's true but back then they were by far and away the better team!
But what about their win in the 1999 WC, wasn't luck involved there?
PAK's win in 1992!
SA's exit from the WC semis of 1992 and 1999!
1 bad day can leave you out of the entire comepition!!

The WI team of the 1980s was arguably the greatest team ever still they were unable to win a WC in that decade!

This is not just true for cricket but for almost all other sports too, look at soccer in 2002 teams like Korea and Turkey were in the semis, Greece won the Euro cup in 2004! This is where i feel is no replica of test cricket , you can always bet your bottom dollar that a test series will always be won by the better team!

exactly, its amazing how just one win can make the players think that can do all kind of shitt. i think the winides are learning from the indian players a thing or two about bullshitting and showing off after one win
