UEFA Cup Draw: 1/4 Finals..

Uefa Cup quarter-finals draw:

Steaua/Villarrealv AZ Alkmaar
CSKA Moscow v Auxerre
NEWCASTLE v Sporting Lisbon
Austria Vienna v Parma


The first legs will take place on 7 April with the returns a week later.

Semi-finals draw:

Austria Vienna/Parma v CSKA Moscow/Auxerre
NEWCASTLE/Sporting Lisbon v Steaua/Villarreal/AZ Alkmaar

The first legs will take place on 28 April with the returns a week later.

The final takes place on Wednesday, 18 May at Sporting Lisbon's Jose Alvalade Stadium.


Very tough for NUFC-but they should win.

At this stage of the competition i wasnt too fussed who we play! i dont want us to get too confident BUT i think we are good enough to beat any of the remaining teams! Villareal probably worry me the most, so i hope Bucharest knock them out :-D :-D

We played Sporting in the group stage and we drew 1-1 BUT it was a dead game, since we already qualified! Also Sporting will not be allowed to play Viana who has been in good form for them this season so that is a advantage for us!

We mustnt do what Boro did and that is lose at home.

dissapointing draw.. i iterate i dont care 4 for who we play..just hopedfor a kinder draw ie. played away first then played home becos we have fa cup semi after the second leg and we have to flyback. ..maybe after extra time!

toonboy its probably best for the squad to fly straight to Cardiff from Lisbon!

Villareal are a very good side at home, they battered Barca in La Liga at home! Forlan is in superb form for them!

I would rather not play Villareal but if we had to im glad it will be in the Semis and not the final! i think we have a better chance of winning over 2 leagues than a one off game
