Who should follow Yousaf or Inzi?
Razzaq seems to be the only one wearing his pads whilst Afridi is pacing around and Kamran is waiting to be sent in with the tailenders.
It doesnt make any sense to me because Afridi and Kamran are both far better test batsmen than Razzaq. I think if we are 300+ when the next wicket falls then we should play our wildcard and send out Afridi but if they get out before that then we should send Kamran out to steady the ship. Razzaq should bat after both these guys but not before. |

Agree with Merc.
Razzaq should bat after both Akmal and Afridi |

I believe Akmal is the best batsman of those still in the dressing room and therefore I believe he should be the next man in.
Innit. |

I think Razzaq is perceived as less of a risky batsman, despite his ability to hit out as well as the best in world cricket.
With the current position Pak is in, I agree with sending Razzaq in next. Both Kamran and Afridi are more free-flowing players instinctively. They don't seem to possess Razzaq's ability to play cautiously. |

Agreed Merc, since Afridi is the better batsman. Let's see what happens!

Razzaq gives less chances than both Akmal and Afridi. He can block all day long and if we lose a wicket early in the session, Razzaq's responsible batting style must be preferred over Akmal and Afridi

I would say Kamran, since he has more ability to settle down and make that big one and than go with Afridi to blast the ball with the tail and throw Razzaq in somewhere too since he has that exploding option. However that is not quite how it works!
Kamran has proved he can bat well with the tail and I am not sure if Afridi understands the concept of a single off the last ball. Though I think Razzaq should be the last of those 3, since he can defende and blast the ball and push for a single with the tail enders.

well a really bad move in my opinion by allowing Razzaq come in at 7. it should've been either Kamran or Afridi bcz both can play spin well and Razzaq struggles.

Razzaq, 9 of 30 balls.

sending in Razzaq is the right move. there's a difference between having a hot streak and having decent temperament (i.e. Afridi and Razzaq respectively). we don't need a quickfire 20 from Afridi. we need a patient long innings (hopefully) from Razzaq.

I was thinking they should send Akmal in when Big Inz was dismissed, but the reasoning behind sending Razzaq must have been to act as a stabilizing influence on the game by keeping his wicket, and ensuring that he and the well set Yousuf didn't give anything further away to England. The plan seems to have worked well - a 50 run partnership, negotiating Pak safely to tea, and oncourse for comfortably avoiding the follow-on.
