Pak Missed the trick with Dravid?

Did anyone hear Majrekar and Rameez wondering why Pakistan did not have the plan to bowl the middle and leg line to Dravid at the start with 2 fielders up.

Majrekar said that he was surprised that Pakistan didn't persue this strategy as it was common knowledge after the Australian tour that Dravid was uncomfortable with this tactic.

Rameez game an excuse (kinda lame one) that since Pakistan lacked good bowlers, this strategy was probably not implemented??....

Well Rameez is right. The bowlers cannot bowl the ball on the same line. The aussies on the other hand are superb at keeping the same line. We should've tried that tactic out though. See if it made Dravid uncomfortable.

Its not a lame excuse! If we dodnty have the bowlers who cant maintain a line then its pointless!

Gul would have been the best to employ this tactic but he is not there so you have to make do with what you got!

I don't see why we couldn't have at least tried this in the first two tests with Razzaq and Rana and Sami all capable of bowling a certain line at least....

You shouldn't be playin International Cricket if you can't keep a particular line.

we didnt really have anybody to unsettle the guy. He looked as solid as a rock throughout.

A good delivery will get ANY batsman in the world, but we did not bowl enough good deliveries sadly, so the chance of him being out was much less, given that we were serving up some ordinary stuff and he could work the ball around at will.
