I have a feeling that Rao Iftikhar Anjum will replace Shahid Afridi!!

I just heard Woolmer's interview and it seems to me that he wants to play Roa.

With all due respect to Rao, I'm sure the English batsmen are already having nightmares at the thought of Rao bowling at them in Leeds.

with bob's lack of faith in promoting the youngsters to the main test side i also feel rao anjum (being more experienced) will definitely get the nod over shahid nasir and samiullah

If Pakistan drop Afridi for the next match it won't be a suprise. Afridi was, has and always will be the "Scapegoat" for Pakistan!

well i think pakistan can win without anycahges, look at the talent in our team, i feel u will see a whole different team in headingly not player changes but attitude, and i know its difficult to accept such a heavy defeat, but we need 2 remember that we need 2 calm down and that we mayb over reacting as about replacing players as we are not used 2 facing such defeat of late.

agree with Amjid. I am a big Afridi fan, but enough is enough, we dont need him, especially in Headingly where it wont favor spinners that much.

I fail to understand the kind of role he has played in first 2 tests,
bowling to tailenders, then batting with tailenders!

if afridi is to stay in the team then he has to bat at number 6 as there is no point in playing him with the tailenders as he just just seems to hit out

Afridi should be promoted as an opener . He may not score consistently but if he starts hitting ,nothing can stop him . Plus he is fairly effective as a bowler and also a great fielder and this must be taken in to account . So Afirdi is definitely an asset to the team ir-respective of whether he scores runs or not and chopping him off will weaken the Pak team .They are missing out on an effective allrounder .

I personally feel that the team is missing Shoaib Malik.....He is gutsy fighter who uses every ounce of his ability. He probably would have failed once or twice but would have come good in the end.

Currently I cant see who will open for Pakistan... Kamran Akmal is too valuable down below, Taufeeq Umar is another left hander who used to be fantastic but does not deserve to be put in and then disregarded if he fails...... Afridi i suppose is the only alternative. Farat as with most Pak players is extremly talented but always gives it away.........

So in my opinion i would go for Afridi (for his all round attributes) and Salman on this occassion, I would also replace Iqbal with a bowler Nazir/Arafat and then pray

afridi in 1st inns @ lord and at OT had a role to play for team, instead we got two nuclear brain farts and some brainless batting!

As per usual lets compare afridi to others rather than focus on what afridis done the most obvious childish excuse in book.

it seems alot of fans cant handle truth and look to find cop out excuses.
