You can get 'halal' equivalents - most halal pizza shops sell 'ham' etc, but its not ham....

Olives, jalapenos, green peppers, onions, and some form of meat, no mushrooms or tomatoes. I can't eat pizza without sprinkling parmesan and chili flakes on top.

funny you should ask! actually the first time i had one was at this upscale italian place in suburban new delhi in about 1997-1998. my entire family was returning after visiting some old friends who lived in a new neighborhood outside delhi and we stopped by at this place and this is where we tried it for the first time.

since then, you can get it at TGIF and maybe a handful other gormet places, but i usually find it as a rare option at most pizza joints. but when i bake my own pizzas at home, i toss in grapes (i ve had paneer, and brocoli on pizza so yeah i have had my share of weird toppings).

teh pepperoni is pigs meat and at pizza hut it is haram, but in the halal taskeaways it is halal cuz they use stuff like turkey or somethings like that. So you sholud tell your mate to stop eating it its haram.

Yes I did but didn't like it......

Even though, in Italy, I ordered a veggie pizza and got one with potates, eggplant (aubergine) and some other vegetable than I could not recongnise. Pizza was good but didn't care for potatoes.

Also, in Slovenia, I got veggie pizza with corn and fried EGG on it. It was different and pretty good!
