England: They dont know when they are beat!

England fougt back from certain defeat by tying the 2nd ODI v SAfrica last night.

Needing 8 to win off the last over with 5 wkts remaining, SA got 5 off the 1st ball of the final over, so needed 3 off 6 balls-yet still failed to win.

This England side is becoming accustomed to dragging themselves back from defeat.

You just dont see that kind of fight in Sub-continent teams, esp Pak.

I can still see Eng losing to Oz in the Ashes, but they'll go down fighting.

A lot of credit goes to Nasser Hussain for this, but Michael Vaughan is showing that despite his cr@ppy batting since becoming captain, he knows what he is doing out there in the middle.

When is Duncan Fletcher's contract expiring???

It was a tremendous effort; by all rights we should have lost comfortably in the end last night.

I disagree with the notion that Pak would have won in that situation-just think back to the Videocon Final/Lords ODI's v Aussies. Lost from clear winning positions. i.e choked.

England have spent the last 12 months winning/surviving in games that were over and they should have lost.

Its clear to see what can be done with disciplined players and a top captain with the right Admin back up.
