Annoying questions asked at work, regarding Ramadan

Funny thing is they ask you the same ques's every year like:

Why do you fast?
Are you allowed to drink water?

After answering the above, they usually follow up with these:

Can you chew gum?
Can you eat anything at all?

it's good that they ask these questions and we should use this opportunity to educate non-muslims about islam

I think it's good that they ask and we should be polite and thorough in our responses.

I've even invited several to try it out for themselves but they always decline!!

Some of my work colleagues are a little fascinated by fasting and sometimes joke that because they hadn't had breakfast that day they were also fasting.

Most people think fasting is just about not eating but when you explain the other aspects they realise that it isn't necessarily as easy as it may seem.

I agree there. When I was in school I had called a couple of friends over to spend the night during Ramadan. One of my friends was a Muslim but the other was Christian and he woke up for Sehri and kept a fast with us
