What is the root problem?

We know the immediate problem is what to do with Shoaib and Asif? however what is the cause? where does this problem root from?

Here is my take:
Is it coincidence that the two bowlers that came back as positive were our two main strike and pace bowlers? no. Pakistan puts alot of the burden and workload on these guys. Espicially Asif as of recent. He bowls long stints of 10 overs, and in Sri Lanka we used him as a rag doll.

Shoaib use to be like that but recently has declined in spells a bit. Either way, these two guys had a huge amount of workload and in order to keep up with it, they may have taken the drugs (since it is not proven yet). Now I am not saying, just because you have a heavy workload, means you cheat. No, what I am saying is that PCB should ***** this and ask themselves what is the root problem adn how can we rectify it?

Another thing PCB can look at or even the Players Association is talking to the ICC. It is jsut further evidence of teh increasing workload on fast bowlers. Once again, it is not right to cheat therefore the ICC should possibly look to ease up the schedule a bit more. Possibly increasing the amount of years in a program. And respective boards themselves must look after their players and not push them to the point of steroids.

This may be the first case, but I think there is many more to come. I think in the next five years we are going to see more cases of fast bowlers using steroids. With the amount of injuries increasing along with the workload, there is a point where a man may just hit a boiling point.

What is your take on this? Is the root problem the workload? Or is Shoaib and Asif just cheaters? Or is there another root problem? Is their a justifiable solution?

Work load I agree to an extend but what about guys like Wasim and Waqar who used bowl 20 overs each unchanged plus the county cricket. Asif should have no excuse he only arrived at the scene yesterday.
