Bob Willis has something against Kabir Ali?

I dont think he wants him in the team....i was watching the highlights, all he did was critisize Ali. I know he bowled badly, but Willis was over doing it. Even in the fantastic final over that Ali bowled, he didnt even give him any credit what so ever..he was like "it was jones idea to come up to the stumps..."

Well, it was Jones' idea...

Willis is an awful commentator, as are most of the Sky Sports team. When I was watching the game last night I watched Sky but listened to the radio commentary instead.

Ali's last five balls were sensational but his overall spell of bowling was rubbish.

Why should we ever take Willis's word for anything ?

He is part of the furniture at Sky - they dont know how to get rid of him , I suppose they are waiting for him to want to spend more time with his family or something !

I mentioned it yesterday in the commentary thread, he was being very cruel to Kabir. Saying he fielded like a Camel and other derogotory comments regarding his bowling.

Gough was full of praise for the youngster in the interview later, and said Kabir reminded him of himself when he was younger. He showed some bottle to come through the final over, especially with 1st ball going for 5 runs.

I think Kabir did brilliantly considering it was only his 2nd/3rd ODI. I thought Trescothick would give Kabir the 49th Over and then give Gough the Final Over. Instead he put Kabir under pressure at the end and he came good despite conceding 5 off the first ball.

This will give him alot of confidence and will show that he deserves to be in the side. On Bob Willis, when was the last time a guy came into only his 3rd ODI and had to bowl a last over to save a match.

Give credit where it's due Willis. If it was Hoggard bowling the last Over and he had done what Kabir did then Willis would have been praising him to the max.

I think Holding has really good sense of "dry" humor ! but its a voice and opinion that demands respect - unlike the third class performer that is Willis

Willis, along with Botham, just drones on and on and on ... nothing intelligent to say. Dont understand why Sky keep him on.

Both are also prejudiced against Asian cricketers.

Botham was actually praising him at the end...........but Willis is very irritating..........THE most irritating commentator at the moment has to be Mark Nicholas at the moment.

I think he shud have an occupation as Santa Claus..........with that "ho.......ho.........ho" he dz when someone hits a six or four.

"Willis is awful as is Lloyd, Nicholas and Holding"

I agree Willis is a bad commentator. Anyone ever notice he sounds like he's crying when an England player gets out or gets hit for a four? :oD

Personally i think Lloyd is Englands best commentator. Ok so he can be a little biased (which commentator isnt?) but he knows what hes talking about and always sounds excited, unlike Botham and co.

Even in the Lunch Interval today, Tom Moody was questioning why all the England players were running to Geraint Jones, when Kabir Ali was the STAR and the one who bowled the final over.
All Jones had to do was catch the ball standing up to the wickets.

The only person who ran to Kabir was Vikram Solanki any coincidence?

Exactly. Correct me if Im wrong, but hes also against the tree that was in Canterbury and against Asian supporters making noise and blowing horns. So if you meant being against the Status Quo meant acting like a boring old fart, then yes, I agree completey
