I just wanted to know are there any people on pakpassion who work was web designers professionally?

What are the opportunities in this field?

What qualifications to you need in this field?

I am not a professional web designer and neither do I consider myself good enough but I know quite alot of people in the field and as far as living it off is concerned its very tough, its a saturated field and it take alot of time to make a reputation for yourself and your work, I would never recommend this as a primary job/work, do it on side and you will make some extra bucks.

im not a proffesional web designer, but i am working on my own site. as for occupation i want to be a pro webdesigner, but not just awebdesigner, i also want to be a database manager, and eventually i want to set up my own hosting company with webdesigning. also along with pro webdesigning degree u should do major in something else as well, like management in economics, or something like that.

You know when you say its tough to live off this field is that only in pakistan or would you say the the same applies in uk/usa/canada?

Its just the advice I was given by someone was that there is going to be a high demand for web designers in the next 5 years as more and more retail business are moving their business focus online.
