A positive approach by pakistan

when moyo dropped out, instead of playing a batsman, they played a genuine bowler in Abdul Rahman. a good positive approach that has been lacking in the past from our team think tank. although when moyo returns, I dont know hwo he will replace but in my opinion, he should replace a batsman coz this way, our bowling looks nice and strong, and we r, and always have been a bowling team

Moyo will replace Farhat/Hafeez with Kami moving up the order, me thinks.

i hope so coz im a guy who loves watching good attacking bowling and would watch pakistan bowl than bat. So I hope we play a good strong attack, with 4 bowlers and a few allrounders. go with the strategy of bowling the opposition out to win rather than batting them out of the game. actually, our batsmen still have the quality of batting the opposition out of the game even when we r playing with 4 genuine bowlers

It will be interesting to see the batting postion of Moyo and Akmal.
If Akmal is in the top 3 again, We can be sure that the team management want him as an opener in the World Cup.
On a different note I want to see Pakistan bat first to see how we measure up.

It is very simple. If Akmal can play as an opener in the World Cup Pakistan can accomodate an extra batsman/all-rounder/bowler. He is slated to play as opener but since Yousuf missed the ODI he came at 3. He might do the same again as Younis is out.

Now, you ask, then why not play him as opener, why not send him to open?

I ask, is there any difference batting at no. 1, 2, or 3 when playing for Pakistan?

akmal doesn't seem to be the type of batter who would do well when the ball is new....he has done well before but not quite consistant...i would stick with him lower down the order to strenghten the lower bating order....and put some experiance in 3 4 5....and i am still not satisfied with our opening....they may need time however once we have solid opening everthing else will fall into place

Those are Akmals stats as an Opener, and please note that all 3 of his centuries have come from the opening position.
