India's Worries Before The First Test

The Indians bowled out a fairly strong Rest of South Africa side for 138 and 224, but the manner in which their own top order capitulated in both innings is cause for tremendous worry heading into the Test series

what i feel i am really concerned about is the chances and the half chances that they might miss. both the india and south african batsmen have failed to inspire confidence against the bowling that has been nothing short of top quality from both sides, yet the south africans have posted scores thanks to the lives given to the batsmen by the lax indians once the first few wickets fall! i hope they dont do this in the tests for there they will be punished!

i think sehwag is going to find his groove in the tests. the man is a different player when he puts on whites. i think he should play ODIs in white too, he does have the strike rate to qualify as one!

...yea he should be treated differently because he is a 'special' player.

On a serious note i think this Indian team on paper is perhaps their strongest team to have ever toured SA.

possibly. three batsmen who have ability to manage the fast moving ball, but yet to display it so far.

and more importantly this time around they have 3 fast bowlers with a bit of potential to do some damage....back in the day they only had 1(Srinath).

i recall the 96 tour when prasad and srinath were at their zenith but had little support from anyone else. come to think of it, we played through most of the 90s till the early part of this decade with just two or three world class bowlers.

well i am waiting for the tests to start.
