My urdu is really rusty! I have forgotten most of the languadge and want to learn quickly before next time i go back home (Pakistan).

Anyone help me out?

I must admit my Urdu isn't too good either. Its like a cross between Urdu and Punjabi. Last time I went to Pakistan all my relatives were laughing

Yeah it is really bad, i know all i need is someone to refresh my memory and get me going. Just get me going, a few words, a few sentances, just teach us the basics.

the only urdu you need to get around pakistan is variations of the following:

"mere Chacha ______ hain. "

for ____ (blank) fill in as follows:

at airport -- Dipty (deputy) Collector, Customs
on the road -- DSP (dipty supernintendo police)
at the shops -- AC (additional collector) CBR (Central Board of Revenue)

please let me know if you encounter any further problems, as my chacha is a MG (Major General) at GHQ (General Headquarters).

Hashim my advice would be to join an Urdu/Pakistani/Islamic chatroom for a while, do voice chat, will definitely help, guaranty.
