Team news:

Bolton skipper Jay-Jay Okocha returns to the Trotters team after recovering from a hamstring injury. Lee Clark and Andy Cole both line up for Fulham after shaking off injuries.

Blackburn welcome back Paul Dickov for Jon Stead, while Southampton have Paul Smith back in goal for the injured Antti Niemi.

Chelsea give Alexei Smertin his first league start since January while Eidur Gudjohnsen, Didier Drogba and Ricardo Carvalho drop to the bench. Birmingham have Mehdi Nafti in place of regular first-choice winger Stan Lazaridis.

Middlesbrough replace injured Bolo Zenden and Joseph-Desire Job with Doriva and Szilard Nemeth. Arsenal skipper Patrick Vieira returns, Cesc Fabregas replaces injured Freddie Ljungberg and Philippe Senderos takes over from Pascal Cygan.

Man City keep faith with Stephen Jordan at left-back but Jon Macken makes way for Paul Bosvelt. Fernando Morientes, Mauricio Pellegrino and Stephen Warnock start for Liverpool.

New Portsmouth boss Alain Perrin is boosted by the news that captain Arjan de Zeeuw passed a late fitness test on an injured shin. Charlton bring Francis Jeffers in for Jonatan Johansson.

Full-time: Arsenal reduce Chelsea's lead at the top by two points, while Liverpool's hopes of taking fourth are hit by City's late winner.

Blackburn dent Southampton's survival hopes, and Fulham suffer another defeat, but it's a good day for Portsmouth and their new boss Alain Perrin.
