So which team's pre World Cup schedule turned out to be most beneficial?

Pakistan had an away series against South Africa as their preparation. Didn't turn out well for Pakistan and they appear to be falling apart at the seams. South Africa on the other hand are sky high.

India organized 2 home series against beatable opposition on flat wickets to get their players into form. Worked out exactly as they would've hoped. They got to try out lots of players, got their batsman into form and won on both occasions.

Australia and New Zealand a playing a series in New Zealand where conditions aren't anywhere near what we'll see in the West Indies.

England had the VB series which turned out to give them a late boost.

Sri Lanka and West Indies had series' in India to prepare. Even though they lost they won't feel too bad as their showing was decent.

I think India's schedule worked out best. They played in similar conditions as the West Indies and gained confidence.

India played a poor Windies side, and an understrength S Lankan side that deliberately rested their top players.

I think England are the ones with momentum.

well India are preparing themselves against weak teams and we prepared ourselves against unbeatable team and against world class bowlers like shaun pollock and Ntini

so I think we have pre pared our team much better than Indians

just answer the following question of mine

If you r going for exam would you prefer to prepare yourself with easy questions our you will prepare yourself asking the hardest and most difficult questions??

if you answer the above you will undertsand what PCB did

Agreed, but I don't think it was ever India's intention to have highly competitive series'. They just wanted to play semi-decent opposition in order to get their house in order and get into form.

The only time I went into an exam based on question banks alone, I fared miserably.
Preparing with difficult questions would be helpful ONLY if you manage to solve enough of them. If you are wasting time still looking for answers it would be advisable to rather forget the questions and go back to your theory books.

I feel that the best preparation was planned out by India, but the best results out of the preparations have been taken by England.

I think there are enough warmup and first round matches in the world cup for teams to judge themselves. The last series they played would have little meaning.

it has to be england. their players would have sky high confidence due to the great winning streak. and that would be very beneficial to the team

Suprisingly it has been England!

In 2003 they had the same build up and played in Aus and came out battered before going into the WC. But this time they have gone in with the best possible result. On an up from the CB series and they have something to prove after the ashes disaster

the first intention was to make some more money. Second maybe to get some batting practice. Third maybe to calm some people down

I don't care if England had the best build up. I doubt if they will reach the SF.

NZ has gained the most confidence. They have chased down mammoth totals and crushed Aus in all 3 matches. There is no better way to go into a world cup. Not only is your confidence high, but you are also going in with all cylinders firing.
