The WC Final that you wish to see?

on a personal note, i wish to see australia vs pakistan in the final. my parents are both from **** and born in australia.

not only that, i have no bloody idea wat happned to pakistan in 1999 but i want a bloody repeat.. that match was lostbecuase of internal pakistani problems.

i also wouldnt mind australia vs south africa (that would be the most likely theoretically becuase of the top 2 teams in the world etc) but i really do doupt that south africa will get to the finals

have your say!

Have to agree with the above posts. A Pakistan/India final would be mesmeric!

However the pressure of such a match-up would probably be too much to handle, for me anyway

A Pak v Ind final would be the ultimate.

I boldly predict HUNDREDS of people will suffer heart attacks that day.

Better to go for a Pak v Zimbabwe or Canada final

Just because of Indian fans gloating we haven't beaten them in a world cup match...

I could then gloat the ultimate putdown.

Pakistan Vs. India - For sure.

No questions about it. A high risk match, but you've got to take risks to get somewhere don't you! I say bring it on. Lets see what they can produce - and I believe our lads can do them one better.

Though as Oxy said, there'll be loads of people passing out and having heart attacks....!

Aus vs Pak. I'd like to see Pakistan put up 400 odd in the first innings and then bowl Australia out for about 60. McGrath to finish with figures of 10-0-101-0. Ponting bowled first ball by a Shoaib Akhtar yorker.

I really want to see Pakistan beat Australia in the WC final. For me, beating Australia in the final will really validate our status of being the best team in the world. A semi victory over India would be nice, but not as much as beating them in the Super 8s and eliminating them from reaching the final 4.

Pakistan Vs Australia in the semis (Pak winning), then a subsequent Pakistan Vs India final (where we are down in the dumps and then a Pakistani hero snatches victory from jaws of defeat to lit a fire under the rear ends of our neighbours).

India blocked Pak in reaching the crucial stage in 96/03. So Pak might want to turn the table around this time. Gut feeling says both will block each other reaching last four numerically

Semi-final : SA vs Aus with SA winning on the last ball (revenge for 99)

Final : SA vs Pak with SA winning by 10 or 9 wickets just to remind them what it is like to lose by 10 wickets like in the 20/20, 4th and the 5th ODI in the last series. OK, bad joke,

Rather have Pakistan score a 300+ innings and SA get past it in the last over with 9 wickets down. That is how I prefer cricket. Lotsa runs and lotsa wickets and a close game!

I couldn't care less about last over thrills or close games if we win the world cup. England v Bermuda would be a good final for me.

Seriously. I would love a final against Pakistan or Australia if we were to get there, because England have a lot of history with these two teams and the publicity would be huge. Only problem is, unlike the Bermuda final, we might lose, and that would be unthinkable...particularly against the Aussies!

SA vs Aus. The 2 best teams in the world battling it out for supremacy. This is highly possible, as the best will always rise to the top. Form is temporary, but class (which Aus and SA have), is permanent.

I'd rather that be one Semi Final; the other one Pakistan should win and a W.I vs. Pak final, where Pak sweep the cup home. I can be neutral, but not neutral enough to suggest a W.I vs. Aus finaL!

You can also see it in such a manner that:
1996: Aus vs SRL
1999: Aus vs PAK '
2003: Aus vs IND
2007: Aus vs Bangladesh?

A neat little observation I noted.

Yeah that'd be awesome!! Nothing turns me on like the fact that the bowler believes Jesus was just a prophet just like the batsman facing him believes. It also helps if the slip fielder recites Quran everyday and the keeper belives in One God too. Now thats cricket!!!
