PAKISTAN - The True Champions of The World Cup

Pakistan are the true champions of World Cups...

The world cup is organised to find out who is the BEST team.
Generally, before you get to the knockout stages which usually start at the semi-finals, there are the group games.

In ALMOST EVERY World Cup (including the one coming up), teams have been split into different groups at this first stage.
So you could win the World Cup and not play some of the other teams.
So does this mean you really are the BEST?
Yes, you have won the world cup, but its not a full all-round victory where you have played against everyone is it?

However, in 1992, there was a league system.
EVERYONE played each other once, and then the top four went onto the semi-finals.

So to win in this world cup would mean that you are the true champion, having played all the teams.

And who won?

PAKISTAN!!!!

And that concludes todays history lesson on why pakistan are the true champions of the world cup...

.
the format is quite similar to the 1992 WC because the 8 best teams will end up playing each other in either the 1st or the 2nd round

thats possible but highly unlikely that any of the top 8 seeds will get knocked out. Im looking forward to this tournament as we should have the top 8 teams in the super 8s and there will be no dull matches hopefully.
Agree, similar format to 1992...hope thats an omen
