Amir Khan

what do you all think about him? i thought he did well against kindelan in the olympics and his overall performance was pretty good but he seems to be getting too big for his boots!

He has a huge following now and he expects to be treated more favourably after winning a silver medal for his country. He also realises that he can't be a boxer for his whole life and so he wants to turn pro asap so that he can get the recognition that he deserves aswell as the money. If you see Naseem Hamed, he was finished before the age of 30 so maybe Amir wants to follow in a similar pattern.

It also seems that others around Amir are trying to guide him but too many people telling him what to do might be confusing him as to what he should do for the best.

well in my locality I am it is 80% certain Lib Dems will get in.

Was traditionally a Tory 'safe seat' but in 1997 Jenny Tonge won it and held it again in 2001. Jenny Tonge is now retiring because her daughter died of electricution (dodgy wiring.......she had her kitchen refitted and she turned on the dish washer and that was that) so she is going to spend some more time with her grand children.

Boxing is boring thesedays. Ever since Lewis retired and Tyson has declined, there aren't any great fighters left. Klitshcko is nothing and would be destroyed by Tyson at his peak. The featherweight division is a bit interesting though with Morales, Barrerra and Pacquiao.

he is a good boxer - had wrong strategy against klitschko - went in too heavy and also didnt really utilise head movement which is crucial wehn facing a taller man - a good boxer - he could easily be a world champ - he can beat likes of
wba champ - john ruiz(although he is likely to be dethrowned by james toney)
wbo champ - lamon brewster who is just average
ibf champ - chris byrd - he would be harder, is a southpaw but danny could take him as well

And was battered beyond belief by Sinan who is something like 11 or 12 in the rankings. I do'nt think Danny has the chin to survive against decent hitters.

mec - sinan samil sam is an average fighter - that is problem with danny - one day he is unstoppable the next he just doesnt fight upto his standard - another poor loss was againt michael sprott, williams has potential to be a world champ. after all lennox lewis lost to rahman and even mccall!!

That was my point, Sinan is average and he gave serious punishment to Danny, knocked him down countless times.

I do'nt rate Lewis either. He got the championship when there was nobody decent i.e. Tyso was past it and Holyfield was already like 130. Bruno well the less said the better and he was extremely lucky against Klitschko as klit got his eye cut badly and he fights like a robot. Rahman and MCcall the crying boy knocking him out were some of the sweetest moments I have seen in boxing where Lewis is concerned.

LOL - i laughed so much when rahman closed his eyes - swung and knocked lewis out - was great. A legend may be caught out once but twice??? in such poor instances - against rahman - lewis gave himself 9 days to condition himself and prepare for conditions in south africa and that is just arrogance

I know...but to seperate the boxin/non-boxing comments from each individual post would have taken too long.

Such is life....

Fine. A bit harsh IMO considering some of the stuff that does get posted sometimes and stays posted but anyhow I am not well versed in the arcane science of equality in censorship.
