ICC investigated our loss to BD in 1999 WC.

ICC's, media, ex-cricketers jumped all over us for losing to BD in 1999 and cries of fixing that match is still heard.

Do you think, anybody (specially ICC) will say anything about our loss to Ireland and India's loss to BD yesterday?

I think, this time we'll be spared since India also lost to a minnow........and you know nobody in ICC will point fingers to Indian team since they (BCCI) bring the most dough to the ICC's deep pockets!

Just a thought!

Its quite well know that Ramiz Raja was the mastermind behind that fixed match in 1999.

BD today aren't the same team that they were back then.

i truly believe that at the ODI level they are no longer minnows.

Pak on the other hand, under our current poor captain/coach/selectors have gone backwards since then. With the current state of our dysfunctional team ..losing to a minnow was no surprise.

If it was no surprised then why the whole world/nation/all PPer seems so shocked after the defeat?

I am not saying these two matches were fixed but.......I am just speculating if ICC will start investigation - why or why not??

Ramiz Raja was famous for telling friends that the Bangladesh game was fixed and for people to bet on them.

Pakistan should have won but that pitch did look rather greenish on my set. Somehow I feel the Irish would have been use to these kind of pitches and would have felt an advantage over Pakistan.

the differnce is the circumstances - the loss to 99 was in a dead rubber that had no impact on pakistans chances to progress, hence the "match fixing" cries that persist to this day.

That 1999 game was definitely fixed as I saw the evidence with my own eyes. While batting, Wasim Akram and Azhar Mahmood are having a talk in the middle about what to do the very next ball. They're laughing and joking and seem very relaxed. The next ball is delivered - and I'm afraid I can't remember who was on strike - but one of the guys looks straight down the pitch (I think it was Wasim) and Azhar is eventually run out. I never believed in any of these fixing conspiracies until I saw that footage. I'm afraid Wasim was defintely in on it, and I'm one of his biggest fans.
