Pakistan neede four runs to win off the last ball and the great Miandad pulled Sharma's full toss for a magnificent six to win Pakistan its first ODI tournament.
here is the link for the final over

final over @ Sharjah

the Pakistani crowd at Sharjah went bizzark and Miandad was made a national hero over night . Today many Pakistani's (including many at PP) favourite past time is to bash this Legend ...(how the times have changed )

The effects of this game have been much more deep rooted in defining the Indo Pak clashes and Pakistan won more and more games vs India than India itself (including 12 in India itself)
Thus we had around 2 decades of dominance over India ........Hence whn ever we talk abt Pakistan 's 61--35 record over India we shud bear in mind tht before this six it was pretty even stevens and this disparity occured only because of tht Miandad's six ..

Miandad is a legend indeed.
But there will alwayz be ppl like Javed Burki, who find it hard to digest his success and try to avail every opportunity to defame him.

Name one player in Pakistan who cud have been considered for coaching, not once , not twice but three times ? & if u r sayin dat Miandad went from pillar to pole to grab dat job, then u r mentally retarded & need to be sent to an asylum.
